When colour surface hardener is applied to the fresh wet concrete and imprinted with textured imprinting mats it forms a tough and attractive, wear resistant surface which is slip and stain resistant. But one of the largest and most prestigious projects was the Rue de Luxembourg in Brussels. In the heart of Brussels, between the European Parliament and the Royal Palace, the Rue de Luxembourg had problems for a number of years with cobbles working loose caused by constant bus traffic. An area of 3,700 square metres was laid with pattern imprinted concrete and finished with a deep joint cobblestone design to match the surrounding streets.
